I’m back in London at the Old Bailey. It’s the most serious court house in the United Kingdom, where many of the worst murder and terrorist trials are held.
But today they’re sentencing a citizen journalist named Tommy Robinson, for the sin of reporting from outside a trial of child rapists last year.
Tommy has already served 10 weeks in solitary confinement for this non-crime. And today he’ll most likely be sent back for more.
He’s the first journalist to be imprisoned in the UK for contempt of court since the 1940s. There’s no other way to put it: he’s a political prisoner, being punished for embarrassing the UK government by discussing the politically incorrect subject of Muslim rape gangs that target indigenous British girls as young as 11.
I won’t lie — I’m very pessimistic. I think the UK government not only wants Tommy to be sent away to prison to shut him up, but I truly believe they’d be happy if he were murdered in prison by the Muslim gangs that dominate them. I hate to be so morbid, but I think that’s how bad it is in the UK these days.

P.P.S. Yesterday I met David Kaye, the United Nations Special Rapporteur on Freedom of Opinion and Expression. (I had no idea there was such a thing.) I asked him about Tommy’s case — he said he didn’t know much about it, but he was interested, and that he would consider an investigation into the UK government’s handling of his case.
