Sinds 7 maart lijden de inwoners van Venezuela, die nu al lijden aan politieke onrust, tekorten aan voedsel en andere basisvoorraden, nu van de ergste stroomuitval in tientallen jaren. Het heeft 21 van de 23 Venezolaanse staten getroffen.
Deze stroomuitval heeft in ziekenhuizen crises veroorzaakt. Scholen en de meeste zakelijke activiteiten zijn opgeschort en mensen proberen op elke mogelijke manier met de situatie om te gaan.

There is a tremendous amount of unrest and hardship across the country. This long period of blackout left food (already scarce) rotting in refrigerators. The hospitals are struggling to keep vital equipment operating.
